Meyers are one of the smaller parrots reaching an adult size of approximate 10 inches. Hand reared babies make an ideal family companion, being friendly, affectionate & playful. The vocalization of the Meyers Parrot puts them in the quiet bird category, they may say a few words. My Meyers shout there names when they see me with a treat or peanut for them, otherwise they are quiet.

There diet consists of a premium parrot mix, cereal, seeds and plenty of fresh fruit & vegetable. As a treat I hand feed mine peanuts, they adore these. If you are looking for a small family companion then you won't go far wrong with the Meyers Parrot.
